As soon as I was old enough to make a sentence I said: ‘When I grow up I want to be an artist!’ My life has thus unfolded in a very bohemian way, from one creative project to the next. In my textile designs I am able to incorporate all of these stories from the trained printmaker, the vintage scavenger, community mural artist and meticulous illustrator. My textile designs are sometimes created intuitively and at other times drawn from photographs taken whilst travelling. Many of my recent fabric designs are splashed around in a range of dance leggings I created in 2012 as Jessica Rosalie, independent designer.
